How Does Dartmouth Use the Study Information Posted on ClinicalTrials.gov?

The study information populated within some data fields in ClinicalTrials.gov is fed to the DHMC Internet site (http://www.dartmouth-hitchcock.org/ ). DHMC posts this study information on their internet site in order to help patients, families and referring physicians know about studies are being conducted at Dartmouth. The content posted on the DHMC Intranet for each study includes the title of the study, the name of the Principal Investigator, eligibility requirements and study contact information.

In order to link the study information from ClinicalTrials.gov to the DHMC website, the National Clinical Trials Identification Number, or NCT#, for a registered study needs to be entered into Velos, which is Dartmouth's Clinical Trials Management System. For every registered study, the PI/Study Team will be required to enter the assigned NCT# into Velos before the study is activated at Dartmouth. The NCT# needs to be entered into the "More Study Details" module in Velos. Contact the Dartmouth PRS Administrator for more detailed instructions.
