Infectious Disease and International Health
The members of the Infectious Disease and International Health (IDIH) Section provide expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of the entire spectrum of infectious diseases.
Our clinical services include hospital-based and outpatient consultations for the full spectrum of infectious diseases of adults and children. Our International Travel Clinic pre- and post-travel advice and immunizations. Our Infection Control Program is staffed by physician epidemiologists and infection control nurses. The Regional HIV Program provides comprehensive care to persons with HIV in Lebanon, Manchester, Nashua and Keene, NH, and in Brattleboro, VT.
We offer AIDS education and training for Vermont and New Hampshire health care professionals. The Fogarty International Training Center in HIV/TB provides research training in HIV/AIDS, TB, microbiology, immunology and public health for Tanzanian healthcare providers. The Collaborative Healthcare Infection Prevention Program focuses on the prevention of healthcare associated infections and the Comprehensive Antimicrobial Program fosters antimicrobials usage within DHMC.
