Evidence-Based Practice & Research
Dartmouth-Hitchcock nurses have the opportunity to raise questions about nursing practice, and through the research process, investigate those questions with the goal of promoting and assuring evidence-based nursing practice and optimum patient care.
Nurse researchers and researchers from other disciplines partner with the Center for Nursing Excellence on all aspects of evidence-based practice and research projects including identification of topics, proposal development, implementation, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Center for Nursing Excellence:
- Helps nurses identify resources to support projects including grant funding sources and writing grant applications.
- Educates nurses about ethical issues related to research and the protection of the rights of human subjects.
- Supports presentation and publication efforts.
- Promotes research findings and nursing practice that is evidence-based and knowledge-driven.
