Education & Professional Development

Dartmouth-Hitchcock places a strong emphasis on orientation, in-service education, continuing education, formal education and career development. Excellence in nursing is the result of years of education and training, and a commitment to lifelong learning on the part of individual nurses and their employers.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock nurses enjoy personal and professional growth and development opportunities including financial support for national certification and higher education, preceptor and simulation training, and the opportunity to participate in reduced or no-cost trainings and events through our Center for Learning and Professional Development.

Our goal is to give our nurses the chance to build their careers, develop new skills, and refine existing skills.
