Learning Technology

The Center for Learning and Professional Development is home to a Learning Technology Team (LTT). The team develops and supports strategic learning initiatives to further D-H operational priorities. The team is comprised of a small group of learning developers with instructional design expertise. The LTT also has user support, application systems analysts, and a user interface designer to support systems in the offices of graduate medical education, continuing nursing and medical education.

Since its inception the LTT has designed, developed, and delivered learning initiatives to change clinical practice and improve outcomes. Their expertise is around:

  • Learning needs analysis
  • Technology-facilitated curriculum support
  • Performance support applications
  • Video production in support of learning projects
  • Development of elearning modules

In order to request learning project design and development resources you may submit the Learning Project Initiation Form as described below.

To enhance collaboration and the use of system-wide resources, the Center for Learning and Professional Development (CLPD) has partnered with the Learning and Leadership Development (L&LD) Department, the Simulation Based Education and Research Center, and other learning organizations at D-H, to streamline the intake of learning project requests through a collaborative process. You may engage in this process by first completing the Learning Project Initiation form. All requests for learning project development and support should be submitted for review through this new intake form:

For questions about the Learning Project Initiation form, or the review process, please email integratedlearning@hitchcock.org.

Please note: design and development of targeted learning initiatives take time and resources to develop. Typical projects take between two and six months to execute.
