Department of Neurology
The Department of Neurology is a designated specialty clinic within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock system. You can refer your patient to our department through a physician referral.
When your patient first meets with us, we will interview them to obtain their medical history and perform a neurological examination. Depending on the neurological disorder, we'll recommend the appropriate tests and treatments.

The Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) course was designed by the Neurocritical Care Society to help health care professionals improve patient care and outcomes during the critical first hours of a patient’s neurological emergency. Now in its third version, ENLS demonstrates a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach and provides a consistent set of protocols, practical checklists, decision points, and suggested communication to use during patient management.
